i'll watch you've got mail every night til we cram into our station wagon for four hours to see the faces we only see in christmas cards or pictures from when i was 5. and each night i'll wish someone somewhere has the sister/dog/grandparents/aunt/uncle that i don't anymore and they hold them close while they can.
and its true you never read anything like you do as a child, it explains my desperation to recover my copy of are you there god its me margaret. and i'm always thinking of sally j friedman.
